WHAT: An evening gathering (with add-ons possible).
FOR: Any group of people needing renewal and inspiration, or desiring to deepen their own experience and practice of community worship.
WHERE: Anyplace…this is a simple and highly mobile tour. Tracy will come anywhere you can provide the ticket for.
ADDITIONAL COSTS: In order to keep costs to a minimum, Tracy will travel alone with a guitar and some multi-media material. You provide the basic sound, a projector, people and the space. You buy Tracy’s plane ticket, provide transportation and a place to stay and purchase a box of 60 “Songs For a Revolution of Hope” CDs for $600. That’s it! This insures that Tracy’s expenses will be covered as well as giving you the means to make all of your expenses back by selling the CD’s in your community. (You can sell them for $15/each and make the money for the plane ticket back too!).
A Note From Brian:
 I believe writing books and speaking to groups plays some role in bringing about the deep change we need. But I believe an even more powerful way of embedding change in our souls is through liturgy. What we sing, what we pray, what we meditate on, what we embody in ritual and practice transforms us… it brings about the kind of change that makes a real and lasting difference. That’s why my books Everything Must Change and Finding Our Way Again go together. And that’s why I’m thrilled to let you know about a 2009 tour that Tracy Howe is offering to interested groups. Tracy was our worship leader on the EMC tour last Spring … she’s a gifted singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has become a friend and colleague in “plotting goodness.”
Tracy is going to take songs we introduced on the tour (from Songs for a Revolution of Hope) and combine them with practices from Finding Our Way Again (especially Chapter 11, which explores public worship as spiritual formation). The result will be a worship experience that can be adapted to a small group meeting in a home, or a retreat, or a megachurch, or any gathering in between. She can also present a workshop on songwriting and liturgy creation before or after the worship gathering.
